BOMA Clean Connect Program
A growing number of British Columbia’s population resides in multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs). In the City of Vancouver alone, approximately 60% of residents (representing 360,000 individuals or 8% of the province’s population) reside in MURBs.
To address EV charging stations deployment in MURBs, Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) BC, in partnership with the Province of BC, offered a limited time incentive program (ending March 31st, 2014) and installed 128 Level 2 (240V) electric vehicle-charging stations (EVCS). This program supported the increase of EVCS across multiple building types and locations throughout BC by offering a substantial incentive to participants (up to a maximum of $4,500 per station).
Eligible Program Participants:
- Single owner multi-tenant buildings
- Multi-Unit residential or Mix-Use commercial/residential buildings
- Multi-Tenanted commercial buildings
- Large commercial buildings where tenant is not the owner
- Strata owned buildings
