Feds Announce an Additional $80M for EV Infrastructure

On January 10th, the Feds announced additional funding for Phase 2 of the EV and alternative fuel infrastructure initiative. The $80M will be spread out over four years and result in the completion of a coast-to-coast DC fast charging highway. Applications for the new Phase 2 funding announcement will be accepted until March 22, 2018.

This announcement follows one from last year that provided $16.4M for Phase 1. It is estimated that Phase 1 will result in over 100 new DC fast chargers by March 2018.
