WESTCOAST Sightseeing to Purchase 90 Electric Buses from BYD

A major player in Vancouver’s tourism industry, WESTCOAST Sightseeing, announced their agreement with BYD Canada to convert their entire fleet of 90 buses to electric buses by 2023. The tour company is the first in Canada to get electric buses as they work towards the goal of converting their fleet to 100% clean-energy.

For the first five buses, WESTCOAST Sightseeing will be taking advantage of the provincial Specialty-Use Vehicle Incentive to help make the procurement possible. The incentive provides up to $50,000 for the purchase of electric buses, and offers incentives on a variety of vehicles including utility trucks and forklifts.
