Focusing on Electrifying Medium and Heavy-Duty Fleets
This year’s event focuses on the business case for electric fleets and real-world examples from local organizations who have gone electric. Panel presentations will be aligned with the following topics:
- Leading Innovation in Electrification of BC Industries.
- Current Climate in the Electrification of Heavy Duty Commercial Vehicles.
- Large Electric Vehicle Fleet Charging at Your Workplace.
- How to Scale Up Fleets Beyond Pilot Projects.

Experience and Engagement
It’s not all talk, and it’s more than kicking tires. While the event features short panel discussions and information sessions, it also offers hands-on learning and test-drive experiences.
- Test-drives with light-duty vehicles.
- Test-rides with medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
- A diverse range of display vehicles: on-road, off-road, medium and heavy-duty vehicles commonly found in fleets and operations.
- Zero-emission equipment including mobile battery packs, landscaping equipment, electric cargo bikes and other battery powered solutions.
- Knowledgeable, innovative vendors and service providers supporting zero-emission infrastructure and maintenance.
- Networking hubs and catered lunch (for paid attendees).
11:00 – 11:45 AM. Trendwatching the EV Evolution of Medium-Duty and Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles
Industry leaders share insights on how the electrification movement of Medium-Duty (MD) and Heavy Duty (HD) Commercial vehicles is evolving in North America. This panel discussion will focus on emerging market trends, what synergies and opportunities are available for expanding MD & HD fleets, managing supply chain and manufacturing lead times, and what obstacles the industry faces in the short and medium term.
1:30 – 1:55 PM. Leading Innovation in the Electrification of BC Industry
B.C. innovators with big ideas and working results. Hear about the challenges and triumphs of going electric and going the distance on land and sea.
2:00 – 2:45 PM. How to Scale Up Fleets Beyond Pilot Projects
Major voices from BC business and industries discuss their learnings when scaling up from small ‘tried and tested’ electrification pilot projects. This panel will explain how they applied their learnings, calculated ROIs to build their business case for funding, and expanded to bigger projects.
