BC Transit Piloting Full Battery Electric Buses

Many users of BC transit in the Metro Vanouver area are familiar with the electric powered trolleys that use overheard wires. BC Transit announced that they will be piloting four battery electric buses in 2018. These buses would not rely on the overhead wires, instead relying on the battery packs in the buses. The batteries will be charged using DC fast chargers located at terminus points on the bus routes.
